WHAT WE’RE COOKING FOR YOU THIS WEEK

 

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 10

Cheesy chicken spaghetti, sautéed garlic green beans, house salad, and Stone House Eats Bread. It ain’t easy being cheesy, but this casserole with chicken, cheese, tomatoes, and spaghetti noodles will bring comfort to a new level in your life. With the sautéed green beans, house salad, and delectable SHE bread, you can’t go wrong. By the way, the French silk pie will transport you to Paris on a chocolate plane.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 11

Hamburger steak, smashed potatoes, roasted broccoli, house salad, and garlic bread. Hamburger steak lovingly patted into large, round cakes swimming in a luscious mushroom gravy for you combined with potatoes beaten into submission with the appropriate seasonings will make “hump day” your favorite day of the week. The pound cake with fresh berries will redefine the way you think about bundt cakes.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 12

Red beans & rice, fried cabbage, and skillet cornbread. Well, what’s more standard in Louisiana than red beans & rice? At our house, the red beans are complimented by our own pork stock made from flying pigs — and we’ve added some flying pig hams to send these beans into the stratosphere (by the way, they are non-gas causing beans because they come from flying pigs). Fried cabbage and skillet cornbread — what else do you need to know? Oh, the Blueberry Peach Crisp is about as close to heaven as an out-of-body experience. No kidding.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13

Fettuccine Alfredo with marinated grilled shrimp, oven roasted zucchini, house salad, and Stone House Eats Bread. Fettuccine noodles dressed in a creamy, homemade Alfredo sauce with shrimp we herded and branded ourselves. Who knew that shrimp could be herded like cattle? The cowboys at Stone House Eats knew, and we roped and grilled them just for you.
